I do it to 4chan, too. Very simple, very basic command on Linux with wget:
wget -nc -H -D pregchan.com –exclude-domains pregchan.com/*/thumb/* -p -r -l 1 -A jpg,jpeg,png,gif,webm,mp4
This
- won't "redownload" files with a given name (-nc)
- spans hosts to get files (-H)
- downloads only from the domain "pregchan.com" (-D prechan.com)
- (doesn't actually work as far as I can tell) Supposed to not download the thumbnails, but it do (just delete them later) (–exclude-domains pregchan.com/*/thumb/* - probably a simple thing to fix, but I don't care)
- Downloads what is required to reach the listed files on the page, even if they are outside the currently listed options, so that the page could be displayed properly. Probably don't need this in here, but it works with it, so, eh. (-p)
- Downloads recursively - if there were "folders" in the websites structure (beyond the level of the current page), this would download them as well (-r)
- When downloading recursively (i.e., with -r), only go down 1 level (-l 1)
- Accept files of the type I want. Pictures, videos, etc.(-A (those file types))
You could change the switches to make it all work better/nicer/etc., but I don't care to do so on my part. Also, the switch "-np" might be of use if you didn't want to, at all, go up in the file heirarchy to download files. Problem on pregchan and Desu is that you also don't get the pictures on the page, so that's a no-go.
Yeah, I've got one for Desu as well:
-nc -H -D s1.desu-usergeneratedcontent.xyz,s2.desu-usergeneratedcontent.xyz -p -r -l 1 -A jpg,jpeg,png,gif,webm,mp4
I've got them aliased because then I don't need to type them out.
The /cumg/ thread on /g/ has more utilities, all of them more well-written than this simple little command.
The link below is a manual page for the program. As far as Windows goes, you're on your own, but it should be identical if you run this in a WSL2 shell. I think? Maybe.
