Ideas for Pregnant Episodes or Movies Bun-In-The-Ovenonymous 06/25/2022 (Sat) 03:57:57 Id:3b1a8e No. 70
This is for those who have an idea for a pregnancy themed episode or arc for pre-existing television show or movie. Live-action or animation. This is basically fan-fiction, but I think it would be nice to see ideas for what could have been or what could be done.
>>1566 Are they like anthropomorphic?
>>1567 Yes.
>>1566 How would this be animated?
>>1569 CGI.
>>1570 The characters would be Sonic-esque, in that their sizes wouldn't be radically drastic. Jasmine and Hana would be roughly the same height while Aria, Eve and Kari are about the same and only slightly taller than Jasmine and Hana. Tammy would be pretty tall though.
Kind of like how in "Juno" there's a scene where Juno discovers a comic with a pregnant hero called "Most Fruitful Yuki", I think it would be funny if there was a movie where a character discovers a series of maternity based products and the mascot for them is a very sexy looking pregnant cartoon animal of some kind, like either a rabbit or a vixen.
>>1577 I kinda want a movie about Most Fruitful Yuki
If anyone ever had the chance to create a pregnancy-themed series, what streaming service would you put it on?
>>1594 My first instinct would be Netflix, but they're a mixed bag nowadays with a 50/50 chance that shows would not last after one season. HBO Max, soon to be retitled Max, seemed like an obvious candidate, but now that's up in the air due to their new status on scripted shows. Something with money behind it would go on Hulu (Disney+ Star internationally) or Prime. Something of a lower tier would be on Peacock.
>>1595 Peacock is when you know you're desperate.
>>1604 Or Tubi (tee hee!)
Julia Louis-Dreyfuss was apparently pregnant while making Seinfeld and Jerry, somewhat inappropriately, suggested that they write her as being fat. I think it would have been hilarious if they wrote her pregnancy in as the result of a one night stand. Elaine enters the apartment, visibly pregnant. Jerry: "So how are things going in Wonderland, Tweedle-Dee?" {laugh track} Elaine gives a pissed off look: "Ha ha." George: "So this guy just took off and hasn't called you back?" Elaine: "No! I thought things were going great between us. How is it that men can just run off and women are left looking like they swallowed a watermelon? {laugh track} I swear this kid won't stop kicking!" Jerry: "Don't worry, when the kid gets here, it'll get followed up by the tugging, pulling, vomiting, screaming, yelling and crying. And most of those will be from you." {laugh track} Kramer slides in: "Hey, how's it going?" Elaine: "Just perfect." Kramer has a wild reaction: "Elaine, what happened to you?" {laugh track} Everyone looks at Kramer in total confusion. George: "She's pregnant." Kramer: "Since, when?" {laugh track} Jerry: "Since nine months ago." Kramer: "Why, what happened nine months ago?" {laugh track} Elaine: "I slept with Aaron you jackass!" {laugh track} Kramer: "Oh... Aaron... is he the one that got you pregnant?" {laugh track}
What if someone was to reboot Olympic Dames?
An idea for a pregnancy-themed miniseries. "Punk and Nerd" Raiven Smith, a rebellious, independent, and confident punk, gets knocked-up by Oliver Stone, an intelligent, introverted, and a bit socially awkward nerd. Now they must navigate the challenges of an unexpected pregnancy and their vastly different personalities, Mari and Oliver must learn to work together and find common ground. Despite their initial differences, they begin to see the value in each other's strengths and develop a deep connection. Characters: Raiven: A rebellious and independent young woman who enjoys expressing herself. She works in a retail store and enjoys interacting with customers and using her creativity to solve problems. Raiven is also fiercely independent and confident in herself, although she may struggle with balancing her individuality with her relationships. Oliver: An intelligent and introverted accountant who enjoys working with numbers and analyzing data. He may struggle with social situations and expressing himself emotionally, but he is a loyal and dependable partner. Oliver values stability and security in his life and may sometimes struggle with adapting to change or taking risks. Despite his introverted nature, Oliver is also highly empathetic and caring towards others.
>>1557 According to IMDb, there is a movie in development called "The Baby Shower" and the premise reads "A group of women celebrating their friend's latest pregnancy find themselves stranded in a foreign country and wanted by the authorities." Basically a simplified version of my idea.
>>1668 Sounds interesting
"Tummy Tussle" An animated short that follows the comedic journey of a pregnant woman named Rosie, a former wrestler commentator. When Rosie discovers that her twins are unusually restless in her womb, she comes up with an unconventional idea to help them blow off some steam—a prenatal wrestling match. Little does she know that her well-intentioned plan will lead to unexpected chaos and hilarious consequences.
"Super Belly Saves the Day" When a young woman discovers her baby belly possesses incredible superpowers, she embraces her newfound abilities to become the hilarious and unstoppable superhero, Super Belly. With her extraordinary strength, elasticity, and unexpected surprises, she protects her neighborhood from a host of threats, all while balancing the challenges of motherhood.
I owe this thread an apology. It’s still cringe as hell but there are things that can be a whole lot worse than that.
>>1692 I stopped myself from writing something that I know would have been extreme cringe, so consider yourself lucky.
"The Womb's Inferno" Sarah, a witty and resourceful woman in her late twenties, discovers that a demon has taken residence in her womb. Determined to reclaim her body and her sanity, she sets out on an outrageous and perilous adventure to battle the demon within in this horror comedy.
There should be a Chip 'n' Dale: Park Life episode with pregnancy. "Room for More" Chip and Dale take pity on a pregnant rabbit girl who implies that she is by herself. They invite her to stay with them, but quickly regret it when she becomes super demanding. Just as they are about to reluctantly kick her out, she goes into labor and they help deliver her 10 babies. Just then she thanks them and abruptly leaves with her kids. Chip and Dale realize they miss her and comically cry in the end.
"Working Mom" A gay couple (Jonathan Groff and Dan Levy) hire a professional surrogate (Chloe Bennet) to carry their baby. When they make an unexpected visit to her apartment, they discover that she uses her pregnancy to film kink videos. "You're right, we had no business checking in on your private life, we're sorry." "Hey, I'm a professional. You should see what I did with my last pregnancy." "You've done this before!?"
An android can store babies inside her womb as an undocumented countermeasure. An android maid is serving the family where a small boy (about 4 years old) is being pushed around by his abusive father and mother, both alcoholics. In the evening, he's crying on the lap of the maid who's the only person kind to him. After two more evenings, the android decides to create her own justice and offers the boy to crawl in her to stay for a while. She escapes the house and starts a new life. The only thing is, she doesn't want the boy to ever live. He's endlessly supplied with nutrients and stays in a blissful dream state, slowly growing into a man for years. When he's finally born again, they marry and live happily ever after. Sometimes she still breastfeeds him
>>1734 >undocumented countermeasure For hazards >to ever live To evee leave
A hentai OVA with an mc who is obviously attracted to pregnant women. It's a boy-meets-girl plot, but the female lead is already pregnant.

Despite society's judgment and their own personal dilemmas, an unconventional bond blossoms between them. They need to adapt "The Ever-Expanding Universe" book trilogy into an adult animated comedy series. It's composed of "Mothership", "A Stranger Thing", and "The World Forgot". Here's the official synopsis of the first book: "Elvie Nara was doing just fine in the year 2074. She had a great best friend, a dad she adored, and a bright future working on the Ares Project on Mars. But then she had to get involved with sweet, gorgeous, dumb-as-a-brick Cole—and now she’s pregnant. Getting shipped off to the Hanover School for Expecting Teen Mothers was not how Elvie imagined spending her junior year, but she can go with the flow. That is, until a team of hot commandos hijacks the ship—and one of them turns out to be Cole. She hasn’t seen him since she told him she’s pregnant, and now he’s bursting into her new home to tell her that her teachers are aliens and want to use her unborn baby to repopulate their species? Nice try, buddy. You could have just called. So fine, finding a way off this ship is priority number one, but first Elvie has to figure out how Cole ended up as a commando, work together with her arch-nemesis, and figure out if she even wants to be a mother—assuming they get back to Earth in one piece." Mae Whitman as Elvie Nara, the protagonist Josh Keaton as Cole Archer, Elvie's love interest Josh Brener as Ducky, Elvie's nerdy friend Anna Akana as Britta McVicker, Elvie's nemesis

Not a series, but I wanted to share this regardless. "I Feel Sick: Antics of a Knocked-Up Neighbor" In this comic, Devi D's ordinary life of isolation is upended when her best friend and neighbor, Tenna, falls pregnant. Devi unwillingly becomes a central figure in Tenna's pregnancy journey, trying to handle Tenna's over-the-top antics, neighborhood baby frenzy, and late-night food cravings. As Tenna begins to act more erratically, allegedly due to vivid dreams about a mysterious entity contacting her unborn child, Devi has to distinguish between normal pregnancy behaviors and something potentially more sinister. In the midst of the chaos, she is forced to grapple with her own feelings about life, relationships, and the prospect of new life. This comic is a whirlwind of humor and absurdity, characteristic of Jhonen Vasquez's style.
"Project: Baby Boom" Premise: Catherine "Cat" Anderson, a twenty-something surrogate, answers an add to participate in a seemingly simple scientific trial. Unbeknownst to her, she signs up to be a surrogate for a secret government project, aimed at creating super-soldier babies with a range of superpowers by utilizing her womb. The scientists believe the power will only manifest after birth, but to everyone's surprise, and often Cat's inconvenience, the powers are active in the womb, leading to weekly mishaps, comic situations, and an increasingly bemused and bewildered Cat.
"A Hell of a Pregnancy" Premise: Melinda, a down-to-earth, clumsy librarian in a small, quirky New England town, has just found out that she's pregnant after a bizarre encounter at a local supernatural-themed carnival. But it's not just any pregnancy – she's bearing the Antichrist, as revealed by an eccentric, flamboyant psychic named Madame Zara. After the initial shock (and a good deal of denial), Melinda must cope with the challenges of an ordinary pregnancy, like cravings, morning sickness, and mood swings, while also dealing with decidedly less ordinary ones, such as strange cravings for brimstone-flavored ice cream, sudden fluency in dead languages, and the spontaneous combustion of furniture. Characters: Melinda Simmons: A a librarian in her early 30s with a love for fantasy novels and an unfaltering belief in the supernatural. Despite her peculiar interests, she's never quite managed to have an encounter of her own... until now. Now faced with the prospect of birthing the Antichrist, Melinda must balance her maternal instincts with the desire to prevent the possible end of the world. Doris Watson: Melinda's snarky best friend and comic-book enthusiast coworker. Always the one to crack a joke in the face of danger, Doris provides comic relief in even the most terrifying circumstances. Doris is Melinda's rock throughout her pregnancy, never batting an eyelash at the increasingly bizarre events that unfold. Madame Zara: Madame Zara is the flamboyant psychic who reveals Melinda's pregnancy and the fate of her child. She's dramatic, eccentric, and perpetually unfazed by the chaos around her. Her prophecies are as cryptic as they are melodramatic, but there's no denying her supernatural abilities. Raphael: Raphael is an anxious angel, assigned by the powers that be to guide Melinda and her unborn child towards the path of good. However, his fear of humans and general lack of experience lead to many comical blunders and misadventures. Asmodeus: Asmodeus is a demon with a wicked sense of humor and a severe allergy to anything holy. He is supposed to tempt Melinda towards the dark side, but his plans often go awry, resulting in hilarious situations. Entity Z: Entity Z is a self-proclaimed neutral being from another dimension, who simply enjoys being around the chaos and partaking in the free food. Nobody really knows why he's there, but his love for the drama and his strange wisdom often help Melinda make sense of her situation. Father O'Reilly: Father O'Reilly is the town's good-natured but slightly oblivious priest. Unaware of the full extent of Melinda's predicament, he often pops up at the most inopportune times, causing all manner of divine and demonic entities to scramble.
"Amphibia: Mothers of Calamity" Premise: The series picks up a decade after the original series ended. Anne, Sasha, and Marcy are living normal lives, having finally adjusted to their old lives in the human world. However, the magic of Amphibia isn't quite done with them yet. One fateful night, three tiny sparks, remnants of the Calamity Gems, traverse dimensions from Amphibia to the human world, finding Anne, Sasha, and Marcy. They wake up the next morning to find themselves inexplicably 9 months pregnant, leaving them in a state of shock and confusion. Characters: Anne Boonchuy: Now a responsible and caring 23-year-old, Anne's life has taken an unexpected turn with the magical pregnancy. The Calamity Gem of Heart reincarnated as her child, Anne must navigate her way through motherhood, while protecting her child from unseen threats. Her nurturing nature, courage, and resourcefulness guide her through these challenges. Sasha Waybright: The tough and resilient Sasha is also dealing with sudden motherhood. Her child is the reincarnation of the Calamity Gem of Strength, making for a fiery and spirited offspring. As Sasha grapples with the responsibilities of motherhood, she must also ensure her child's strong powers don't go unchecked. Marcy Wu: Marcy's child is the embodiment of the Calamity Gem of Wit. As she steps into the role of a mother, Marcy finds herself relying more than ever on her intelligence and ingenuity. She must guide her child to use their intellect and abilities wisely, while grappling with the mysteries that their existence presents. Terri: Terri is a brilliant inventor and a close friend of Anne, Sasha, and Marcy. In the face of the extraordinary situation her friends are going through, she decides to use her intellect and creativity to bridge the gap between the human world and Amphibia. Her commitment to her friends and her scientific curiosity push her to accomplish the seemingly impossible. Mr. X: A mysterious figure with deep knowledge about the two worlds and the Calamity Gems, Mr. X serves as a guide for the girls in this new phase of their lives. Although his true intentions are ambiguous, his insights into the Calamity Gems and their reincarnation prove invaluable.
"Rascal's Seed" and adult animated series Yana is a sexy, rude, demon girl who has had too much fun in the Underworld and decides to go up to the surface to continue her antics. She encounters Ethan, a naive, kind young man whom she hopes to convert to "her side" via subjecting him to sexual intercourse. In an odd twist, Yana discovers that she has been knocked up and attempts to urge Ethan into being a deadbeat, only to be shocked to see that he is a loyal and responsible adult. As the pregnancy progresses, Yana comes to the realization that maybe demons can change too.
>>1960 I good running gag is Yana having to deal with the supernatural antics of her baby.
"Project: Baby Boom" Premise: The series focuses on six women heavily pregnant with a genetically altered embryo implanted into their wombs as part of an experiment to create a line of super soldiers. The main character is an intern who is tasked with monitoring the women named Kyle. The humor come from Kyle how has to put up with his position as the unpaid intern, as well the women who have to deal with the fact that the babies have developed their powers before birth. Characters: Kyle Armstrong: An underpaid and overworked intern. Fresh out of college and eager to get into the world of genetic research, he’s in over his head as he manages a group of highly hormonal and super-powered pregnant women. Dr. Regina Maddox: The ambitious lead scientist and brain behind the experiment. She’s stern and always trying to control the situation but is secretly terrified of what she's created. Lisa Caldwell: Former military and the most accepting of her situation. Her baby has super strength, causing her belly to occasionally thump and vibrate in unexpected ways. Monica Belleview: A former beauty queen, she’s not pleased with her growing belly. Her baby has telekinesis and tends to move objects when Monica's emotions are heightened. Nina Frost-Holt: A librarian who has the most calm demeanor and is carrying twins, however one has the powers of fire and the other the powers of ice. Jasmine Tekhart: A tech mogul, her baby has the ability to communicate with technology, causing gadgets in the facility to malfunction in amusing ways. Carmen Lighthaven: A yoga instructor whose baby has the power of flight, making her occasionally levitate. Bianca Shadowcroft: A prominent lawyer, she's highly skeptical of the entire operation. Her baby has invisibility powers and occasionally "disappears" from the sonogram.
>>1985 Other Characters: Lara Thompson: A confident and straightforward intern who's been at Mother Base longer than Kyle but was working in a different sector. She's seen it all and often tries to mentor Kyle, much to his annoyance. She's resourceful, and her experience with her own group of super-powered pregnant women has given her a unique set of problem-solving skills. Skye Tremaine: The punk chick with tattoos and piercings. Her unborn baby's super-speed often results in her belly being a blur of motion, sometimes causing her to be moved or jerked in different directions. She has a fierce spirit but is genuinely caring beneath her rugged exterior. Raven Nightshade: The gothic girl, draped in dark flowing fabrics. Her unborn baby has the power of magic. Unpredictable things happen around Raven - sometimes her surroundings will suddenly turn dark and moody, or objects will transform into something else entirely. Despite her eerie aura, Raven is deeply philosophical and introspective. Willow Sage: The free-spirited hippy with flowing dresses and flower crowns. Her unborn telepathic baby might be attuned to the vibes of the world, but its thoughts are unexpectedly and hilariously mean-spirited. This causes many comedic situations where Willow, the epitome of peace and love, reacts to her unborn baby's sassy and sarcastic thoughts. Tara Dupont: A corporate executive who's all about efficiency. Tara's baby has the power to duplicate itself, leading to multiple heartbeats and baby movements being detected at the same time. This often overwhelms Tara, who's used to being in control. The multiples don't always agree, causing Tara to feel a cacophony of kicks and squirms, sometimes in harmony and sometimes not. Tara must learn to embrace the unpredictability. Alexa Stando: An avid manga and anime enthusiast. Alexa's baby can summon a stand, a powerful and loyal entity. Whenever the stand is summoned, the facility's lights flicker, and a powerful aura is felt. The stand is protective of Alexa and reacts strongly to her emotional state. This stand can interact with the physical world, leading to a series of comedic situations.
"Bump in the Road" Premise: In the offbeat town of Bellavista, neurotic Lila discovers she's pregnant. With her clueless husband, Stan, at her side, they embark on a chaotic journey of impending parenthood. From wild cravings and YouTube conspiracy theories to outrageous baby showers and a hilariously inappropriate grandmother, this animated comedy highlights the absurd, hilarious, and oh-so-relatable moments that come with expecting a baby in the zaniest ways possible. As Lila and Stan stumble through every challenge, they realize the road to parenthood is anything but smooth. Characters: Lila Waters: A 30-something woman, neurotic and an over-thinker. She's the central character, who just found out she's pregnant. Stan Waters: Lila's husband, a lovable goofball, has no idea how to handle the news or Lila’s antics. Tess & Jim Riddle: Lila's childless, party-loving best friends who are clueless about babies. Grandma Dee: Lila's hilariously inappropriate grandmother who constantly offers unsolicited advice about pregnancy from "the good old days." Dr. Oliver Bellow: The well-meaning, yet slightly eccentric OB-GYN, always seems to have oddly timed, inappropriate jokes.
"Expecting & Empowered" Premise: A dramedy series that follows the life of a modern, strong-willed woman named Lena who finds herself pregnant and single. Instead of succumbing to societal expectations and norms, Lena embraces her sexuality and celebrates her body's ability to create life, while also navigating the complexities of relationships, motherhood, and self-discovery. The show dives deep into issues of femininity, sexuality, societal norms, friendships, and empowerment. Characters: Lena: A vivacious 30-something woman with a vibrant personality. She's career-driven and a staunch feminist. Lena discovers she's pregnant after a fling and decides to keep the baby. Throughout the series, Lena maintains her sexual freedom and self-empowerment, even as she prepares to become a mother. Mara: Lena's best friend. A fun-loving, supportive ally who stands by Lena's choices and offers comedic relief. Mara often finds herself in humorous situations due to her own love life and the advice she gives to Lena. David: Lena's younger brother, who becomes her unlikely roommate and confidant during her pregnancy. He offers a fresh, male perspective on Lena's journey and is fiercely protective of his sister. Jenna: A single mother from Lena's prenatal class. She becomes Lena's guide in the world of motherhood and offers perspective on how to balance personal desires with motherly responsibilities. Eli: A charismatic individual from Lena's past who resurfaces during her pregnancy. Eli challenges Lena's views on relationships and plays a complex role in her evolving journey.
>>2117 Mae Whitman as Lena Awkwafina as Mara Calum Worthy as David America Ferrera as Jenna Jesse Williams as Eli
Had this idea for an animated sitcom, while it's not pregnancy based it does have a pregnant character in it. "Creeptown, USA" Takes place in a small American town where the supernatural and paranormal are common to the point where they co-exist with the mundane (basically Gravity Falls meets Ugly Americans). One of the recurring characters is a woman named Alicia Cruz, a heavily pregnant woman who owns a bakery/diner. There's a running gag where she's obviously pregnant with a demonic entity but she's completely oblivious.
Idea for a Two and a Half Men episode. An alternate take on the episode "Repeated Blows to His Unformed Head" where Berta's heavily pregnant daughter Naomi shows up at the house to clean, except in this version her unborn baby can physically talk.
"Hailey's On It!" - "Midwife Hailey" Beta reminds Hailey that one of her list items is "Help deliver a baby". Hailey tells Scott that when her mother was pregnant with the twins, she admired baby delivery and added it to the list, only to see the pain and suffering that she went through. Nevertheless, Hailey must complete it... somehow. Hailey and Scott end up in an elevator with single-mom-to-be Marsha who claims that she is due in a week. This turns out to be wrong and she goes into later, forcing Hailey and Scott to help deliver Marsha's baby.
Bluey (in light of episode The Sign) Very Special full lenth (or longer) episode where Chili gets pregnant and Bluey is happy.. till its revealed Chili having twin boys and the Family then plan to move to a bigger house... one far away. ends with them finding a nicer house thats much much closer but still having to move and the stinger ending is Chili going into labor.
>>2999 How about instead, Hailey and Scott get visited by the Professor who is heavily pregnant, leading to this exchange: Hailey: "You're back again, I was going to ask - Woah!" Professor: "Yeah, I just needed a place to... what are you guys staring at?" Hailey: "You're pregnant!" Scott: "Like really pregnant!" Professor: "Huh? Oh yeah, I got knocked up." Hailey: "I didn't even know you were married." Scott: "Who's the lucky guy?" Professor: "I'm not married! I'm carrying this for someone! Why are you guys shocked? You've seen me pregnant before, haven't you?" Hailey: "Nope." Scott: "Never." Professor: "Oh... right, time travel."
