My main pet peeve is maudlin, "wholesome" and unrealistically sentimental stories written as blande self-insert wish-fulfillment, which accounts for 99% of the western content out there. It's all boring garbage with zero conflict or interesting character interactions.
>Here is a story about my waifu being heckin preggo with my babby and acting all kawaii about it. There is no plot to speak of. It's just her baking cakes, rubbing her belly sexfully, and waddling around my house being all pregnant and stuff. Waddle waddle waddle. What I dislike even more than that is when a protagonist gives birth to the product of a horrific rape and immediately switches to being loving and motherly with zero transition time. Sometimes it's even a slimy, carnivorous horror that's born with sharp teeth, and she's all "Let mommy breastfeed her little shnookums," and the audience is all "Aww, she loves her baby! Mindbreak is so sexy and wholesome." In a general broader complaint, I think a lot of pregnancy fetishists have a warped idea of what is "wholesome" and what isn't.
That said, I do admire Japanese creators for being brave enough to depict horrific situations and have female protagonists react realistically *on occasion*. If a paladin girl is forcefully impregnated with a reincarnated demon lord, she is going to smite the shit out of that fucker before the pregnancy reaches full-term. If a girl gets raped by some fat ugly bastard, she's going to beeline for the abortion clinic or abandon the fat ugly baby as soon as it's born.
(Like I said, I know I'm in the minority with my preferences. I await the flames of Pregchanners who feel personally insulted by this post.)
